TAAS plays pop music from the sixties and seventies in a semi-acoustic lineup:
Up to 2009, Rik had been organizing weekly attic jams for local musicians to play pop golden oldies. Engel-Jan and Allow were among the guys attending regularly. In april 2009 Rik invited old times buddy Chris to play bass there. Around 1970 Rik and Chris played in blues band Nosey Parker (reunion september 2010) with Ron Krop, leader and founder of the legendary El Kroppo & The Bubblegums (reunion same date), sidekick to Candy Dulfer and currently playing with the Eelco Gelling Band. From these jamsessions a band emerged that came to be known as TAAS, from Rik's personal nickname.

After many attempts, somebody finally managed to take a snapshot where everyone was smiling.
Starting out roaming through malls and shopping streets, TAAS rapidly evolved into a well in demand stage act for local parties ad outdoor festvals, benefitting from the revival of sixties & seventies music. Waves of nostalgia run through the crowd as they recognize almost forgotten pearls from pop history.
TAAS draw their setlists from a repertory of over 400 (!) pop classics, including the best of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Van Morrison and many more. A minor, but nonetheless substantial part consists of songs in Dutch by Acda & De Munnik, Boudewijn de Groot, De Dijk, to only name a few. Hits by Dutch groups who made it to the top of the international charts, like Shocking Blue and Golden Earring appear frequently.
The video - with poor sound quality - shows TAAS at a Liberation Day concert in Gorinchem, Netherlands, May 5th, 2010, in standard lineup plus Dirkjan Middelkoop on guitar.
In the mp3 section below there are two takes - with much better sound - from a Summer Festivities concert also in Gorinchem, Netherlands, August 2010. Steven Rietveld plays the additional tenor saxophone in Baker Street.,
